Many automakers – including Volvo and General Motors – have already committed that by 2025, their vehicles will no longer have internal combustion engines but hybrid or electric motors.

But for Trinidad and Tobago, the electrification journey has just begun. While countries, like Barbados, already have an established infrastructure and policy framework. According to the brand manager for Volvo, Vir Sieunarine the government is on the right path to developing a legislative framework to keep the country on route to electrification.
