49 countries out of 56 commonwealth countries that border the sea are highly vulnerable to the impacts of climate change. New research shows these Commonwealth countries have mainstreamed their commitment to addressing the impacts of climate change on their coastal and island communities.
According to Heidi Prislan, Blue Charter Adviser at the Commonwealth Secretariat, “it is very encouraging to see that the role of the ocean in tackling climate change is increasingly recognised.”
