Join the Commonwealth Chamber of Commerce for an insightful virtual discussion focused on blockchain security and the rising impact of stablecoins across Commonwealth nations. As digital assets continue to transform financial systems, it has become essential for businesses and practitioners to understand evolving security protocols and information security requirements. This webinar will feature a leading information security specialist who contributed to the Commonwealth Model Law on Stablecoins and will provide an in-depth analysis of blockchain and virtual asset security, including the latest standards and best practices.

Cryptocurrencies have become a core part of the global financial ecosystem, with total market capitalization surpassing $3 trillion in 2025. Stablecoins, serving as a bridge between traditional and digital finance, are gaining traction for their stability and efficiency. Across the Commonwealth, adoption is accelerating: in New Zealand, nearly 1.94 million people-over 36% of the population-are expected to use cryptocurrencies by 2025, with 70% of Kiwis viewing crypto as the most promising long-term investment. In Canada, more than 4.7 million adults (about 12% of the population) own digital assets, supported by progressive regulations and the integration of crypto services by major banks. Nigeria ranks second globally in crypto adoption, recording $59 billion in annual transactions, with stablecoins comprising 43% of the volume. Singapore is ranked the world’s fourth most crypto-friendly city, while Australia’s crypto user base reached 31% in 2025, driven by comprehensive regulatory frameworks. These trends underscore the Commonwealth’s pivotal role in shaping the adoption and regulation of digital assets worldwide.

The event will be hosted virtually via Zoom, offering participants the opportunity to engage with industry leaders and gain practical insights into the future of digital finance in the Commonwealth. Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of a crucial conversation shaping the future of digital finance across the Commonwealth.
