Due to new environmental policies from investors and the government, Australia’s major power supplier like AGL Energy and EnergyAustralia plans to shut down operations of their carbon-emitting plants that run on coal. Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews has also pledged to source most of the state’s electricity from renewables.
