The Bahamas has been selected to host the Global Sustainable Tourism Council’s 2027 conference. It is becoming the first Caribbean destination to do so. The event is scheduled for May 18 to 21, 2027, in Nassau and will highlight the country’s efforts in ecosystem restoration, nature-based tourism and destination resilience.
Deputy Prime Minister and Tourism Minister Chester Cooper said the selection gives The Bahamas a global platform to showcase its sustainability work across the islands. The conference is expected to draw about 400 delegates, including policymakers, tourism operators, investors and sustainability experts.
