The eighth edition of the Commonwealth Youth Games will be held in Malta and Gozo from October 29 to November 4, 2027. The event will feature eight sports, with sailing and water polo included for the first time.
Competitions will span Malta and Gozo using existing world-class venues grouped into four main clusters, and athletes will stay in two village-style hotel hubs, one on each island. The sports lineup includes athletics and para athletics, netball, squash, swimming and para swimming, triathlon, weightlifting, plus the new sailing and water polo.
The 2027 edition will host the biggest Para sport programme in Commonwealth Youth Games history, with para swimming joining para athletics, which debuted at the 2023 Games in Trinidad and Tobago.
