This poignant day pays tribute to the brave members who valiantly participated in World War I and II, and contributed to peacekeeping and law and order engagements both within the country and abroad. On this day, at Remembrance Park in Port Moresby, an official ceremony takes place annually. Through this commemoration, Papua New Guinea recognizes the sacrifices made by these courageous individuals in defending their nation’s values and securing a peaceful future for generations to come.
