In Nairobi, the Government of Kenya and Afreximbank (African Export-Import Bank), signed a Country Programme worth US$3 billion. The ceremony was attended by President William Ruto at State House Nairobi. The President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Afreximbank, Professor Benedict Oramah, and Kenya’s Honourable Cabinet Secretary of the Ministry of National Treasury and Economic Planning, Professor Njuguna Ndungu, signed the memorandum to establish a framework for the implementation of the 3 year Country Programme. The program aims to provide financial support of up to US$3 billion facilitating viable trade and trade-related investments in Kenyan public and private sectors.
