The 3-day South/East Asia StartUp Summit 2022 was held from 17-20 November.

The international conference focussed on tech-enabled entrepreneurship in Southeast Asia and provided a virtual platform to engage youth with different activities and discussing exciting opportunities being created as the region’s ecosystem continues to thrive and grow!

Some 75 local and international experts participated in the South East Asia StartUp Summit 2022 featuring 10 sessions on virtual platform. Inspiring Bangladesh, the first social network of the nation committed to inspiring entrepreneurs to take action and realise their dreams, hosted the three-day summit in association with Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division of the government.

The Summit invited honourable guests including the University Grants Commission (UGC) member Professor Sazzad Hossain; Aspire to Innovate (A2i) Programme Project Director, Dewan Muhammad Humayun Kabir; IDEA Project Director Md Altaf Hossain; Washington University of Science and Technology Chairman Abu Bakar Hanip; AVS Real Estate Managing Director Rafiq Khan; General Manager at Lenovo, Naveen Kejriwal; and, AamarPay Managing Director Ishtiaque Sarwar.

The theme of this Summit is ‘Innovation, Growth and Investment’. Sessions focussed on FinTech, EduTech, HealthTech, Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence, E-commerce, Logistics, Agro-Tech, Cybersecurity and mobile gaming. Inspiring Bangladesh Managing Director Imran Fahad said the conference will play a vital role in the exchange of knowledge at the international level for all the startups that are thriving in the country.

“The summit provides a platform for sharing the best practices in tech adoption, achievements and experiences, networking among information technology-enabled industry leaders, experts, policy makers, government officials, entrepreneurs and academicians,” he said.
